First session

Usually the first session is for meeting each other so you can decide if you are comfortable working with me. I will want to know something about you to be sure that my skills are appropriate for the issues you are bringing and you may want to ask about my way of working and / or qualifications.

Subsequent sessions 

It is usual to meet once a week for sessions lasting one hour.
This can be negotiated.

Number of sessions

The number of sessions you wish to have is entirely up to you and can be decided as we go along. Some people choose to come for a few weeks and others continue for months or sometimes years.

Fees 

A fee of £15 covers the cost of the first session. Subsequent sessions cost £30 per one hour session.
This may be negotiable for people on low incomes.

Confidentiality

What you say to me as a counsellor will be kept completely confidential. Unusual exceptions to this are where child protection issues are raised, or if you present a serious risk to yourself or others. These are unusual exceptions and even then we would discuss the issues fully. We can discuss this and any other concerns you may have about confidentiality.
